Security Alert: Phishing Emails Targeting .nz Domain Holders

We would like to make you aware of recent phishing email campaigns targeting .nz domain name holders.

The Domain Name Commission (DNC) has advised that scammers are sending emails impersonating legitimate registrars. These emails may request you to renew your domain name via suspicious links or ask for payment through fraudulent invoices.

In some cases, these messages closely mimic real registrar branding, wording, and even website layouts to appear authentic.

To help protect your domain and account, we recommend that you:

  • Always verify the sender’s email address before clicking any links

  • Avoid making payments through links in unsolicited emails

  • Log in directly to your Slightly Different account to check renewal notices and invoices

  • Contact our support team if you are unsure about any communication you receive

If you believe you have received a suspicious email or may have been targeted, please contact us immediately so we can assist.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.
